Historical notations speak of malachite and chrysocolla being used, in adjusted forms, to solder gold.  It is also known as “gold solder” for this reason.  A 2006 spectrographic study suggested that Chrysocolla may be a mixture of the copper hydroxide spertiniite and chalcedony.

For healing, Malacolla carries the power of both Malachite and Chrysocolla, making it a versatile healing stone.
