Rough Sugilite with Manganese

Sugilite officially became a rare stone in 1980 due to the lack of deposits around the world.
South African Sugilite is a spectacular shade of purple ad very sought after as a gemstone.
The presence of manganese makes this a master healing stone, connecting the spirit and mind, encouraging energy to flow through the body from the head to the feet, and offering grounding of the soul.

Around the area, steeped in ancient tradition, are petrified tree forests, now lying in the desert.

How to use and care for your crystals
You can place your crystals around your home, using your own intuition and style.
They will balance the energies in all rooms of your home.
You can also hold each crystal in turn and quietly do breathing exercises, or meditate, allowing the stones to keep you focused and gently release any trapped emotions.
You can cleanse your crystals under running water, and leave them out at night under the full moon from time to time. You can leave them in sunlight for limited periods of around half an hour, as the sun may change the colour of some stones. Do not soak crystals and do not wash them with salt water.
Keeping a clear quartz crystal with your stones will enhance their energies and cleanse them from all negative energies.
